Clearly golden beer, very thick, white lively head. Smells of tropical, fruity hop. Maybe a little spice of some sort. Taste is bitter, grassy hop, bittersweet grapefruit and citrus. Lasting dry, bitter hop finish. There's not loads to this but it's very drinkable.

Bottle 330ml.[ Trade by cgarvieuk ]. Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caraeml, dark roasted, meat, wood, smoke. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, camp fire smoke, meat, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120915]

Tap at Cloisters, Edinburgh - 08/12/12. Dark amber with a good frothy white head that retains well. Nose is light pine, caramel malts, hops, light grpaefruit, mineral notes. Taste follows, a little biscuit, caramel, hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Decent.

Aroma of caramel malts, creamy soft toffee malts
Taste of caramel toffee malts, cereal malts, touch of honey like on Sugar Puffs, hint of puffed candy, more malty than hoppy
Palate - thinnish body, oily texture. Fairly sweet palate. Finish as main flavour, a little dry. Tail of toasted caramel.
Overall - Quite a sweet bitter, nice malts in here (there are 5 in here). Certainly would have this again if I saw it

A pale golden beer with a head that dissipates quite quickly and a mild, slightly hoppy aroma. The flavour is mostly hoppy and bitter with a slightly sour or citrus edge (it’s faint, I couldn’t quite pick it up.) Refreshing enough with an aftertaste that’s also hard to place.

On tap @ the Guildford Arms. Pours opaque black with a decent crema head. The nose is lightly chocolatey with just a hint of smoke. The taste is more milk chocolate with again just a hint of smoke. The palate is medium bodied or perhaps a bit more, there’s a good creamy texture though the finish could be a bit cleaner in my opinion. Overall, solid!

Bottle from Great Grog. Dark brown body with a thin tan head. Light lacing. Aroma of espresso, smoky bacon, earthy notes and brown sugar. Flavour of lightly smoked malt, chocolate and blackcurrants. Tangy finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Lively carbonation. A fruity Porter with subtle smoky hints.
