Fra fat (håndpumpe med sparkler!) på Il Locale, Åboulevard, København nov-17: brunsvart med flott skum som varer forbi siste dråpe. Sjokolader, kaffe, mørk sirup, lakris og muligens et hint av stjerneanis. Flott munnfølelse og halvtørr avslutning. Lett å like, like lett å helle over drøvelen.

Kobberfarget lett tåkete med lavt beige skum. Lukter lett brent karamell, kandis og noe røde frukter. Middels+ i fylde. Søt, lett bitter brent karamell og noe svisker. Middels lang. Noe alkohol i avslutningen.

Keg at the Ale Stone, Aylestone. Orange/brown, cloudy with a ring of white head. Light bready aroma with cinnamon and touches of citrus and tropical fruit: some tangerine, some guava paste. Sweet taste with a surfeit of caramel malt. There's some serious bitterness on the latter half of the sip. Sarsaparilla and toffee on the aftertaste. Heavily carbonated. A decent interpretation of a tough style.

330ml bottle. Pours a misty gold, small white head. Aroma has familiar floral sweet triple characteristics that are present on the palate. A little subdued with a drying close. Pleasant, moderately sweet triple.

On tap at Melkebaren. An almost clear dark amber colored beer with a creamy, finger thick beige head leaving curtains. Lager-ish, peated nose with toffee, bread, some dried fruits and a light piney hint. It's medium bodied, smooth, soft and rather sweet on the palate, with a decent bitterness. Roasted, almost burnt, lightly peated flavor with bread, toffee and some piney hops. Lasting finish. I'd like more body in this one, but it's a fine brew indeed. 171022

Tap @ Hantwerk, 5.5%. Clear dark amber with small white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, little toasted, berries and notes of sour fruit. Flavour is malt, caramel, berries, notes of candy, notes of sour fruit, little citric and sweet.
