Keg at BD, Bristol. Pours hazed ruby amber with beige foam. Pithy grapefruit, caramelised orange peel, spicy rye. Dry finish. Supposedly an Albino Squid Assasin clone. Nice drop!

Gravity Cask at day 2 of the 41st Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 03/12/2025.
Golden copper topped with an off white head.
Nose is stewed fruit, grass, herb, grains.
Taste comprises bitter sweet citric notes, herb, sugars, grass.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with a light tang.
Passable sour ... a little too easy going and can't say I was picking up Irn-Bru notes.

Brune foncée, quais noire, col léger blanc-cassé.
Arôme sur un bouquet malté, caramel oscillant sur le sucre caramélisé effet toffee, grillé, café avec un agréable rétro-nasal de chocolat. Amertume délicate en rétro-nasal.
Palais est finement malté, effet un peu coffee cold brew avec une pointe de chocolat noir, touche d'espresso / café au lait voire d'un délicat moka. Petite note de rootbeer en retrait avec une agrébale amertume en balance.

Pâle/orange, ambre, col fin crémeux sur le blanc-cassé.
Arôme sur une bouquet centré sur les malts - c'est agrébale balancé avec un côté biscuité, malt crystal, grillé et pâle en rétro-nasal. Houblonné délicat - herbacé, terreux en rétro-nasal.
Palais sur une belle et bonne base maltée - léger caramel, biscuité délicat avec une once de rappel de cookie - crystal malté. Pointe de drêche et céréales le tout accompagné par un houblonné procurant une amertume balancée oscillant sur l'herbacé. Je ressens même une base de jeune barleywine au niveau malté. Petit enote levure qui reste en retrait.

Arôme est plaisant bien tropical avec un agréable bouquet de la goyave - rétro finement sour avec une petite touche citrique qui perdure en retrait.
Palais est finement 'sour' avec un apport délicat de la goyave qui confère un caractère tropical léger qui se prête bien au style. Cela apporte une douceur délicate, sans être surfaite. Pas spécialement noté un impact de basilic thaï.
