Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - orange to red. Thin but attractive lacing. Nose - funky wood and cherry and plum fruit. Taste - loads more funky cherries. Palate - tangy and funky throughout. Overall - lovely stuff. Authentic for the style.

Bottle from the Harbour brewery online shop, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas are acetic, funky, fruity. Taste is more of the same, in a good way. Slightly chalky on the finish.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Clapton Craft online. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy, white head. So so overall, has some semi-ripe, lightly dried citrus fruit notes, a little pine, somewhat grainy pale malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more citrus, ripening orange, some damp pine, pale bread, a light tangy citrus note. Drinkable but nothing special.

Keg at Brew Club - Hackney. Pours clear orangey gold with a small, creamy topping. Interesting, lightly sweet, with strawberry accents, mellow piney bitterness, sun-kissed malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, some orange rind, pine, more strawberry. Decent.

Draft. A black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted matl, coffee, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, lots of coffee, and some chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from Hoptimism. The aroma drifted over to me as I poured the beer. A herby vinous aroma, with a chocolate-leaf matter streak into the finish. Cloudy dark amber. Thick foamy off-white head. Medium-heavy sour. Vinous. Fruity. Presumably hibiscusy. Some tangy sweetness comes through as I acclimatise to it. Hints of umami strands beneath the vinous core. Medium bodied. Slick. Almost silky. Average-fizzy carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Enjoyable - sour yet fruity and a bit odd.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Clapton Craft. Pours clear burnished gold with a modest, foamy white head. Interesting stuff, lightly acidic, has some powdery fruity candy notes, mellow tartness, maybe some cherry, grape, a touch artificial. Light bodied with fine average carbonation. Lightly drying finish, a mild herbal note, chalky fruity candies. Novel beer. Decent overall.
