Yellow colour with light haze and lasting thin head. In the aroma and flavour there's obvious sweet pils malt and also sweet port and white wine dryness. The dryness of the barrel is definitely there. Delicate. The depth is there but is subtle and rewarding.

Batch L19 with 5.6% abv. Blond colour with light haze and lasting thin head. In the aroma there's a hint of woody tartness coming from the barrel. Wheaty too. There's lots of wood in the taste but balanced well with a fruity note of green grapes and fruity yeasty esters. Aftertaste is super dry and woody. A little funk too. Shares some commonalities and some complexities with special Gueuze varieties.

BB 01.09.2024. smells funky, earthy, grassy, spices, peppery, some wine notes, some oak. nice to very nice smell. medium body, pearly carbonation. tastes lightly sweet, some grape notes, light tannins, grassy, light funk, some oak, peppery, spices. finishes lightly bitter / sweet with notes of grape skins, oak and some peppery notes. quite nice one, bit on the sweet side / not very sour. good flavour profile. 7, 4, 7, 3, 16

750 ml bottle, bb 01.09.2024, shared by Sander, thanks! Yellow, hazy body, with a big, frothy, dissipating, off-white head. Aroma of cheesy funk, straw, citrus, white grapes, wine barrel. Tastes quite similar, while with a lot of tannins and wood. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation. Finishes dry, wooden, tannic, vinous, slightly funky, with grapes, almond, some apple. Tasty. Lovely vinous notes, especially in the taste, while also with bright, sweet fruits and funk. Really fresh and quite complex to drink. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

Bottle from MV. Misty golden-amber body, white head, gushing. Interesting aroma, mixing creamy red grape notes with some woody undertones, fruity notes, light vinegar touches, a bit dusty. Lean, soft taste, creamy red grape / barrel notes, some woody notes, but in the end ending with a bitterish kick, making the pils base quite obvious. Tart at times, but not excessively so. This was a better review before it somehow disappeared. Eh. Anyway, a very interesting, respectable experiment I'm glad I paid a hefty sum for, so damn Czech-hipsterish, it's beautiful. Not a beer I'm loving, but a beer I'm hugely respecting.

Bottled 750ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and hrabren. Cloudy golden coloured, medium sized white head, herbal and light yeasty nose. Yeasty, herbal hoppy (slightly perfumed), slightly stale grassy and rather bitter finish.

0.75 l bottle brought by Marko from Prague, shared with him, Vran, Kaiser and Ogi. Hazy golden, small off-white head. Hay, nice herbal notes, light bready. Slightly perfumy herbal and floral aroma. Some harsh grassy notes. Malty background present. Quite refreshing. Light body, soft finish. Not bad.

Bottle from MV. Murky full golden body, white head. Flowery hoppy aroma, minty, light yeast. Lean, smooth flowery taste, yeasty, slightly funky undertones, lightly peppery. Dry finish, puckering, not bitter at all really. Fresh but yeah, the rustical notes aren't that welcome.

Tap at MV. Misty reddish-pink body, no head. Wild, funky notes, quite pleasant with some light raspberry and cherries, slightly perfumey. Cherry notes, some spicy notes too, cinnamon even, withj raspberry giving more of a tart edge than outright flavor perhaps, very light funk in the finish. Quite pleasant and juicy - classy beer!
