Description
Epic ales to celebrate legendary Dwarfen deeds! The Fownes Brewing Company was started in 2012 to bring a fresh breed of outstanding ales and porters to the good folk of the Black Country. In the seven years since we rolled the first cask out of the brewery doors we've gone from strength to strength, picking up awards and recognition on a regional and national scale. In the autumn of 2019 we took the bold stride to relocate the brewery deeper into the heart of the Black Country, so that we could forge our next chapter and expand our ability to bring our unique, epic ales to a wider audience than ever before.

Cask at the Jolly Crispin, Upper Gornal. Light gold, almost clear. Crown of white head. Soft lemon drop, candy floss and marmalade in the bouquet... Taste is sweet and fruity while maintaining a malty backbone. Leading to a balanced bitter finish. Not the most exciting of beers but certainly solid and well-made.
