Description
Epic ales to celebrate legendary Dwarfen deeds! The Fownes Brewing Company was started in 2012 to bring a fresh breed of outstanding ales and porters to the good folk of the Black Country. In the seven years since we rolled the first cask out of the brewery doors we've gone from strength to strength, picking up awards and recognition on a regional and national scale. In the autumn of 2019 we took the bold stride to relocate the brewery deeper into the heart of the Black Country, so that we could forge our next chapter and expand our ability to bring our unique, epic ales to a wider audience than ever before.

Taste comprises summer fruit, bready malt, light hop notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Ok - nothing I’d look to revisit mind!

Cask at the Jolly Crispin, Gornal. Poured clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is weak malt and a little aromatic hop. The flavour is weak bitter, big resinous hops a little watery on the palate. Low carbonation as you might expect. A superb ale. One for a session for sure.
