Description
The “Zum Grünen Baum” inn, which has existed since the 14th century, is mentioned; a chronicle reports in more detail about the same brewhouse in the lower suburb in 1644. Inn and brewhouse become property of the family Bucher in 1868. In 1928 Alois Bucher decides to concentrate on the brewing business. A decisive turning point in the company's history is the decision to stand out from other breweries by brewing special beers hence the name 'Spezialbrauerei.' But in 2006 brewing ceases and since then the beers are contract-brewed elsewhere.

Bottle from Blutspendedienst München, vielen dank! Good chewy malt, with a proper aromatic and bitter hop backstop. Light grainy finish. Quite ok.
