Description
Brash was founded in 2012 by Ben Fullelove, but laws at the time kept him from brewing within city limits. The Brash Brewing Company came to life when he finally decided to move to Ipswich, Massachusetts. The outdated legislation that prevented brewery owners from operating a bar were overturned the next year and in October of 2015, Brash Brewing Company opened its doors.

65 cl bottle @ lusikka
Aroma is fruity, hoppy and sweet with pineapples, caramel and resin. Flavour is sweet with caramel, hops, fruits and hints of pineapples. Finishes with gluey notes. Hides the 12% rather well, no big differences between 9‐10% DIPAs. Heavy stuff.

650ml bottle from Bierkompass
Pours dark orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of caramely malts, sweet notes, fruity hops and toffee. Taste is malty, slightly boozy and caramely with notes of juicy hops, fruits and toffee. Finish is juicy hoppy, slightly boozy and heavily malty with notes of toffee, glue and caramel. Quite strong DIPA, alcohol burns through a bit too much.

Small, deep-beige head over ink-black beer. Ersatzcoffee, maltdrink, and, OK, real coffee too, if sweet-malty orientated. But throughout, a very fine green leaves’ nose weaves itself through the black forest. Bitter-sweet, with wood, black cardemom, coffee, café noir biscuits, moccha, or Sachertorte with a black chocolate overload. Finish has something surprisingly cola-like. Thick, rather well-bodied, velvety feel; slight alcoholwarming. Dangerously drinkable for a 10%+ ABV monster.

Good yellow-cream head over hazed orange-amberish beer. Grapey hps, exotic fruit, green tea, mandarines, mandarinepeel. Bitter, again a bit like strong green tea. Hopoils, citruspeel, marmalade. Dry hessian hopsacks retronasal, turning to earthy flavours. Medium bodied, very (oily)slick; well-carbonated. The middlefinger to those not liking hopoils....

Good, dense, whipped eggwhite-like yellowish head, slowly collapsing over well-carbonated, surprisingly clear orange-amberish beer. Pungent hopsnose of exotic fruit, but also strong background aroma of vegetable frying oil, sweetish. Banana, babyfood. Bitter, hopoils with just a hint at fruity sweetness in the background, not coming through. As if canned exotic fruitmix had been covered with quinine - or iso-alpha acids, of cours. Bitter melon, cakebottom. Very slick hopoily, rather well-bodied. Discreet alcoholwarming. A bit harsh at face value, but it grew on me. Could have another like that.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with paperthin white head that diminishes to nothingt. The aroma is a strong grapefruit and floral. Medium mouthfeel with a strong bitter hop and fruit with nice lingering bitter finish. Really enjoyed this one.
