Another 'bierfirma' in the greater Antwerp region, active since 2020 and apparently operating at Craywinckelhof, which is usually a good sign, as I have the impression that most of their beers are at least technically very correct. Time to find out, with a longneck bottle of this tripel version, bought at Willems in Grobbendonk. Towering high, yellowish egg-white, densely moussy, cobweb-lacing, pillowy head gradually thinning and eventually opening over a hazy yellow-golden beer with ochre-ish tinge, even turning milky in the end, with deep 'dirty orange' glow. Aroma of coriander seed, apple peel, raw potato juice, white bread, dried lemon zest, young 'graanjenever', cooked turnip, leftover dough, withering grass, something vaguely salty. Sweetish onset, some banana but restrainedly so, oxidized apple slices and unripe peach, white candi syrup filling up a white-bready pale malt sweetishness, rounded and moderately carbonated with some minerally effects; more breadiness in the finish from the yeast, spiced with quite a heavy load of coriander seed and floral hop bitterness which lingers a bit next to the breadiness. In the end, though, a 'jenever'-like alcohol glow becomes rather explicit and brings a layer of wryness which lingers beyond the hops, yeast and malts. The alcohol could have been better hidden and the coriander seed is a bit much, but otherwise this is a correctly made tripel, even if it adds absolutely nothing to the already overgrown pool of interchangeable Belgian tripels.

Blond colour with lasting head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavour is similar and has a light note of liquorice too. Not overly sweet or yeasty which is good.

Very pale blond with lasting thin head. Aroma is intensely floral and herbal. I see that Szechuan pepper is mentioned in the ingredients which is definitely believable. Perhaps too much though as it's tio herbal. It could perhaps be counterbalanced with some citra hop but right now it's too sweet and herbal.

Small white head over lightly orangey yellow beer. Rainwater, maltsyrup, herbs/spices, caramelized vegetables. Liquorice immediately in the mouth, sweet, but gradually diminishing, giving away to whatever spices have been added to this one. Quite slick, again oily, sticky feel. Too spi-i-i-icy. Original, but who wants a second glass of this?

Draught Small white rim over fully hazy yellow beer. Lavender? Green cardamom? Rosemary? Whatever herb it is, it is very strong, overpowering everything; just a faint aroma of sweet stock underlying. Less lavender (cardamom) than the nose suggested, but still very strong. Some citrus, hint at acidity, but the all-overpowering spice keeps pushing too bad until the very aftertaste. Sticky, viscous, oily; medium carbonation. Too spiced by far, please learn the concepts balance and moderation.
