Enormous column of off-white head, as snow with sawdust interspecked; metallic deep-golden beer. Very malty nose, even some ambrée or caramalt, drying textile & rainwater aroma’s , whiff of corn? Dull-sweetish taste, with a strange, unpleasant background, corn flakes, and a bit of toasted malt. Retronasal taste of vegetable frying oil. Slight burning , bit buttery MF, more body than expected but it doesn’t ring true somehow. Heard some good comments on this one. Can’t say they are vindicated IMO. Bof, Spain is one of these places where I keep preferring the juice of the grape...

(Bottle 100 cl) This is NOT similar to the "Alhambra Negra". This is a "Cerveza Tipo Pilsen" - a pilsener not a dunkel. Fully golden pilsener with a pretty decent head. Pronounced hops in both nose and aroma - all the way through actually. Slightly sweetish and watery. Not a very harmonious beer. Bottle in Peguera, Spain. 23/02/05. Golden lager with a thick white head. Sweet corny aroma with sweet cloying malt tatse and metallic notes. Lighter bodied.

Bottle (a very cool bottle). Sweet malt and hops aroma - well balanced. Dark yellow color with moderate head. Slightly sweet malt flavor with a mild hops finish. Very nice compared to most Spanish beers.

Bottled - fourpack from the El Corte Ingles in Barcelona. Says it’s a dark lager beer with Mediterranean flair. Well, I certainly didn’t notice that. It’s an average dunkel,which seems to be great for a spanish beer. Dark brown colour, small and dissapearing head. And it’s a little weak. It wasn’t offensive, and I could drink it again.

Deep blond color. Both the aroma and taste feature a light maltiness, a bit sweet. Slightly above the average Spanish beer.

A dark amber beer with a fine small disappearing head. The aroma is sweet malty on a sour background. The flavor is of bread, oranges, and caramel.
