Can (thanks GodOfThunder!). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is maize, some alcohol, rubber and some pear to it. Flavour is maize, alcohol and rather super sweet tones. Kind of not all too attacking, and way better than it's Finnish cousin Olvi Tuplapukki.

It's a malt liquor, what did you expect, the naysayers? Back in the day Colt 45 was out in front of the other brewers, a guilty pleasure, today the abv is below the average IPA. No matter. I finally found a 16 oz can at Half Time to belatedly taste. No glass, no paper bag this time. I have a drink. Sweet malt, grain, water, a bare touch of citrus and plowed field. A good tasting malt liquor, actually tastes like beer. Now, if they would only kick the abv up to 7.5% or so, you might really have something here.

Pours amber with a huge white head. Aroma of acerbic rice malt. Taste has watery rice malt, carbonic flavor. Palate has lingering acerbic rice. Eh.

Can. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish.

24 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/11/2017. Pours very hazy golden/orange juice color with no head retention or lacing. A fair amount of steaming carbonation and clinging bubbles on the glass. Good appearance. Aromas of tangerine, orange juice/pulp, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, cracker, corn, white bread dough, and slight herbal/grassy earthiness. Bit of fruity corn aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus juice/zest and moderate pale malt/corn notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice/pulp, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, cracker, corn, white bread dough, and slight herbal/grassy earthiness. Light citrus tang/tartness; and slight herbal, grassy, zesty bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice/pulp, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, cracker, corn, white bread dough, and slight herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of citrus juice/zest and moderate pale malt/corn flavors; with a nice malt/juice/tartness balance, and no cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/tangy fruit, spicy alcohol, and carbonation after the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, juicy/pulpy, bready/grainy, and acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Slight increasing warmth of 5.9% after the finish. Overall this is a very nice fruit flavored malt liquor. All around nice robustness and balance of citrus juice/zest and moderate pale malt/corn flavors; dangerously smooth and fairy crisp/refreshing to drink, with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery. Tastes just like a beer mimosa as expected. Tons of citrus juice vibrancy, with nice malt liquor presence/balance in the background. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Held up really well for the age of the can.

Can from a Manila convenience store. Poured a clear yellow straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is corn, sweet malt, toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a light, watery sweet sugary toffee malt palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

24 ounce can into lager glass, best before 8/27/2018. Pours crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale malt/corn and mild earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness of pale malt/corn and mild earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finish. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.6%. Overall this is a good malt liquor. All around nice robustness of pale malt/corn and mild earthy hop flavors; smooth, crisp, clean, and pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very clean and nicely rich barley/grain flavors and mild earthy hop balance. Not overdone on the corn adjuncts at all. A nicely enjoyable offering. Well made and spot on style example.
