Description
Sure, the National Bohemian brand first began brewing beer in 1885 in the heart of its humble homestead port town of Baltimore, MD.

And certainly, their one-eyed, mustachioed mascot Mr. Boh has always relished his role as embellisher of great stories, and friendly faced reminder to always keep an eye on what’s most important in life.

And yes, it’s true that National Bohemian has become, through years of long-lasting leisure seeking and unwavering dedication to good food, good friends, good families & great times, an icon of our Chesapeake traditions, and Charm City’s laid back and carefree lifestyle.

But among all these great things that have built a legacy of laughter and lightheartedness, perhaps the most telling are the quiet appreciation for the powerful potential of simple things, the transformative and rippling effects of living for fun, and the daily opportunity that we each possess to remind ourselves and others that we must always brew our own happiness.

Because ultimately, if we each choose to see the world as less heavy and more happy,

We Can All Live Pleasantly!

Admin Note: Pabst purchased in National Bohemian in 1999. National Bohemian is marketed in and around the Baltimore, MD area and currently brewed in Albany, GA at MillerCoors.

As expected. The idea of even trying to explain this beer is mildly insulting. It just is.

Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of malt and syrupy sweetness. Taste has typical lite lager notes. Palate is without the unpleasant acerbic note associated with the style. Good.

Can shared by Ted, thanks! Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of corn and straw but is overall light. Flavor is similarly mild with corn, straw and a bit of sweet grain underlying.

OK, long before I joined ratebeer, there used to be national bohemian. A pretty good pale lager as far as I was concerned. Lets see how this new version stacks up! I got this 30 pack for $10 at Jr's in rochy. Pour is of course clear pale. Very good mild flavor, I'm impressed. It goes down real easy too. Good co2 level. Yes, a very friendly easy inexpensive beer that certainly was not disappointing. Very good pabst. Thanks for bringing this back.

This one really exceeded expectations. ++ Sampled from a can this beer poured a cloudy bright yellow color with a large foamy yellow white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet lemon, sugar and a hint of egg white. The flavor was sweet and tangy with strong sugar and lemon candy. Long finish. Medium body.

Sampled from a can this beer poured a bright yellow color with a huge yellow-white head. The aroma was dryish, tangy industrial lager. The flavor was dryish and tangy with notes of cardboard. The finish was short and dry. Overcarbonated. Bland

16 oz can, pours a clear piss yellow with a small white head. Nose is typical industrial swill, but thankfully with no skunk. Flavour is similar, with straw and corn. Lame industrial lager but it's drinkable.
