On tap at the Stupavar pub. Hazy golden body with a small white head. Mild grainy, dry malty aroma. Grainy, slightly earthy taste, overy carbonated. Solid, but far from great.

On tap at Stupavar (thanks Pornoguru!) - now, while this was in the itinerary and I wouldn’t miss it for the world, I’d completely forgotten this was Miro’s - the beer I was lucky enough to try at the homebrew competition in Zagreb too. Damn! :D Though... even better, no bias while rating it. Opaque daaaark brown body with an off white head. Huge smoked salmon on top of good, dry, yet sweetish maltiness. The nicely pungent taste reveals the same, smoked salmon, with solid bitter roastiness. Very intensive, just a touch cloying, but a damn good beer nonetheless. Hats off!

On tap at the Stupavar pub in Bratislava with Pornoguru & Karlo. Darker misty amber body with a small white head. Aroma... light fruity - spicy note on the maltiness. Same in the taste, mostly ginger, slightly herbal taste, Not great, not bad, solid, drinkable beer, that doesn’t overdo the spices.

Bottle thanks to my summer secret santa! Pours clear reddish black, medium tan head, good lacing. Aroma is roast, citrus, pine, a hint of smoke. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, stale coffee, roast, pine. Medium body, some acidity.

Bottle thanks to Cuso a little bit past bb date (sorry). Almost black with big fluffy off white to beige head. Lots of piny hops, light soapy and flowery with a light dry coffee touch underneath. Some sour red berries and herbs towards the finish. Taste is light bitter and sour with very light sweetness. Under medium bodied with slight fizzy carbonation. Maybe this should have been drunk earlier, but it’s also infected or something, the sourness doesn’t really work here.

Bottle from trade with Cuso, many thanks! Sehr dunkel orangebraune Farbe, große beige Schaumkrone. Geruch nach viel Kaffee, sehr hopfig, bitter. Geschmack trocken röstmalzig, viel Kaffee, im weiterem Verlauf deutlich hopfiger, leicht bitter, anschließend wieder mehr Kaffee.

Bottled, thanks gurthnar! Dark brown, rich firm head - looks delicious! Grapefruit, elderflowers and licorice fills the nose. Mid sweet with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Earthy licorice, coffee, grapefruit and tangerine, notes of molasses. Long really bitter finish. Dense, mellow and richly flavourful.
