brown plastic bottle 1000ml. -brought to zagreb by Slovak guys (thanks!) Almost black coloured, small cappuccino head, light roasted coffee nose. Light roasted malt, coffee and some hops with bitterish finish. Rather simple brew but easy-going.

brown plastic bottle 1000ml. -brought by Slovak guys (thanks!) Hazy yellow coloured, small creamy white head, pleasant mild wheaty yeasty nose. Sweetish malty, yeasty, quite fruity and light spicy with notes of cloves. The finish is also light wheaty and fruity. Nice one.

Bottled 500ml. -Thanks Slovakian crew for this one. Darker cola coloured, small off-white head, strange nose; the best description is rose hip with notes of vodka. Sweet malty (light roasted), flowery and alcoholic with notes of caramel. Not bad but incomplete.

From the Slovak Crew, thanks! Darker misty amber body with a tiny white head. Slightly roasty aroma, some fresh herbal notes, somewhat interesting, light coffee. Nice light roasty taste, coffee, some caramel, weak herbal notes again if I remember correctly too. Not bad at all.

Thanks to the Slovak crew! Poured a misty yellow-golden body with a white head. Sweet, creamy aroma, malts with notes of ginger. Creamy, soft taste dominated by, yeah, ginger. How surprising. But still, even despite a teeny tiny soapy notes, this is a nice enough beer, very well executed (like Ned Stark).

Thanks to the Slovak crew! Poured a dark amber-red body with a small white head. Herbal notes from the (aroma) hop I guess in the aroma. The same remain, lighter in the taste, on top of some maltiness, light coffee, creamy. Good for the style and the ABV. I can see why this is the Slovak’s go-to beer.

From the Slovak crew, thanks! Poured a misty golden body with a medium sized fluffy white head. Nice herbal hoppy aroma, grapefruity, bitter, some sweetish notes, balanced. Milder taste, bitter, some grapefruit, some beets, overall a fine little IPA like any market should have.

Stupavar Špeciál 13% I guess. 5.3%. Anyway, poured a dark brown-red body with an off white head. Mild aroma, coffee, slightly dusty, roasty. Mild, creamy yet roasty taste, balanced, vague bitterness, light soap. Not too complex but a nice beer.

Huge thanks to the Slovak crew! Poured a murky yellow body with a thick white head. Superb aroma, lactic, orange, yeasty, light cloves, sweetish and balanced, showcasing a good ester and phenol presence. Yay! The taste, however, is not on the same level, pleasant, sweet and yeasty, but not that complex or fruity, giving off some phenols, light fruity notes, orange mainly, and some bitterness that seems a touch off. Well, a good weizen in any case.

Imperial Red Ale apparently, thanks Gurthnar & Cuso! Poured a dark ruby body with a small off white head. Interesting aroma, notes of sweetbread, alcohol, raisins. Where are the hops? Limp taste revealing more alcohol than there should be... malts dominate this, strange bitterness... earthy. That sweetbread note is interesting, but I expected something completely different and more complex. Damn... we must’ve run into an off bottle. Definitely unique, but none of us liked it in the end. Shame. Hope I get to rerate it in Slovakia...
