Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Pours slightly hazy light gold with a thin head. Aroma is bready yeast with some raisin and apple. Taste has a little ginger and apple to start with a bready malt, medium bitter finish.

275ml Bottle - Very dark in colour. Leather, vinous fruit, Bournville chocolate and coffee in the aroma. The taste is rich and complex with notes of plain chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. A nice one to sip and rather indulgent.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy brown colour, off-white head. Aroma is sweet malted, caramel, fruits, candy sugar. Flavour of sweet malts, candy sugar, bit spicy and fruity. Slightly sweet finish. Well done.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Amber colour, off-white head. This is an odd IPA. Aroma initially flowery, then citrus and some malts. Flavour is malty, bit of citrus and resin. Brown sugar, sticky caramel, fruits. Hint of ash in the finish. Very pleasant.

Bottle 27,5 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours black and opaque with a small beige head. Hard roasted malt in the nose but the sweet dried fruit dominate. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, some licorice notes. Has a light malt bitterness. Really an old school Imperial Stout, but a nice one indeed. 220311

Bottle 27,5 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Bottle #745/1600. Pours a cloudy opaque dark amber with an off-white head. Sweet overripe fruit and phenols in the nose. Quite full-bodied, sweet overripe fruit, honey, a little yeast and phenols with a warming alcohol finish. 220311
