Description
"Over a decade ago I gave up alcohol due to a medical condition. But I missed my beer. I missed the taste of beer and discovering new beers, especially new craft beers. But more than that, I found that I missed the social connection that comes from sharing a drink with a colleague after a hard days work, cracking a beer with the guys after hockey, and joining in to celebrate special occasions with family and friends.

So a friend suggested that I try non-alcoholic beer. The problem is most of the non-alcoholic beer I tried tasted awful and there really was almost nothing in terms of variety. Unfortunately the long-standing stigma surrounding non-alcoholic beer has been well deserved.

That is until now!

I launched Partake Brewing to bring all the things that make craft beer great to non-alcoholic beer drinkers including taste, variety, authenticity, creativity, and passion. Non-alcoholic beer drinkers want to Partake in the craft beer journey with everyone else. Why? Because we’re beer lovers too."

Golden blonde ale. Nose is bready and light hint of citrus. Tastes of cereals, bread, lemon, touch of florals. Lighter bodied. Not crisp enough but not unpleasant.

Can, Donald's Market, Vancouver
Blond colour, clean, the head disappears quickly. Very light malt aroma. The body is almost completely missing; there's a light note of malt, cereals, and nothing of that cardboard that plagued NA beers 10-20 years ago; balanced bitterness. Yep, I could drink again, if hot, thirsty, and too early for alcohol. Decent.

Can. Nice head with good duration. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are caramel, chocolate syrup, little coffee and hops. A little watery but good.

Odd and funky amber coloured body with a slight copper glow, all with a very fast-dying tan head that only remains as a thin layer after a few seconds. Aroma of bread, stale malt, oats, funky sugars, a dash of pears and apples and a very small dose of lighter alpha acid hops. Ultra Light-Bodied; No body here at all, but some malt notes are noticeable, as are a bit of yeastie and bready notes with only a bit of the sugars coming through with a slight floral and grassy finish. Aftertaste is clean of course, but not showing much character, but a thin layer of oats and malt come through the cracks, as the finish is very watery with a little sweetness and a tiny dose of dry hops, but again, fairly minimal throughout. Overall, not really worth trying or even as a Non-Aloholic version of an APA - it's water, without hops and any compelling characteristic. I've tried it so you don't have to, on day 3 of this (what might be a long...) Month. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Wegman's in Alexandria, Virginia on 16-December-2021 for US$1,99 (part of a mixed six pack), best by 26-May-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 03-March-2022.

Non-Alcoholic Beer - Pale Ale ✅ The hops are a little soft, which is the opposite of what I feel is the case in most hoppy NA’s. Thanks for the new style Bruno V.

NA Pale Ale ✅️

Skunky and tastes old/flat. Common theme I've noticed with NA IPAs.
