12oz bottle from brewery. Dark brown pour, foamy beige head, rings of lacing. Aroma is whiskey, rye, chocolate. Taste continues with balanced whiskey barrel flavors and the rye malts. Full, creamy, light warmth. A nice improvement to the rye pale ale.

Taster at brewery. Dark, clear brown pour with a ring of tan head. Nutty, toasty malt aroma with a hint of booze. Taste is sweet, then malty, then whiskey notes that bring a touch of heat. Smooth, quick finish, touch of dryness.

12oz bottle thanks to stevoj pours out copper amber topped with a sand head. Nose is sweet caramel malts some grassy hops and some spice. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel malts and some light hops.
