Bottle shared at Dadsgiving, thanks to whomever brought this along, 24/11/13. Clear golden with a moderate off white head. Nose is tarte fruit, mandarin, citric dipped straw, lemon curd, farmy. Taste comprises orange pith, yeast, light brett, citric, straw, barnyard, light touch of the soap suds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy conclusion. Decent enough saison, let down a little by the old soapy enemy.

GABF 2013. Pours a murky reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Papery, dark fruity, fig, plum, caramel, light chocolate aroma. A fair amount of oxidation. Cardboard, slightly bready, caramel, toffee, plum, grape flavor. Kind of disappointing.

GABF 2013. Pours a bit hazy golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Somewhat funky fruity, pineapple, lemon, mango, floral aroma. Slightly tart, grape, pineapple, lemon, light oak flavor with a fairly dry finish. My favorite of the Forest and Main beers that I tried at GABF.

GABF 2013. Pours a bit hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Brett shines through nicely in the aroma with funky lemon, herbal, cobweb notes. Flavor was pretty refreshing, lightly tart with a fair amount of fruits (tangerine, pineapple, orange). Pretty cool beer.

GABF 2013. Pours a fairly clear yellow appearance with a white head. Herbal honey, a bit twangy, lemon, vanilla, hay aroma. There was kind of strange nuttiness in the flavor once you got past the bretty, peppery yeasty, and citrusy notes. Kind of disappointing.

Bottle shared with Leighton. Enjoyed at 55F in stemware.
A - Incredibly bright yellow 2 finger head. Tons of foam
S - Smells grassy with some brett notes. Honey and wheat
T - Rustic taste like mineral water and brett leather. Dry overall, lots of unmalted grain like chewing on a piece of wheat. very bitter throughout with a nice hop profile.
M - Medium body, dry finish, hard to drink a lot of this due to the dryness
O - I’d say this is a good saison but 2 people couldn’t finish the bottle. too bitter perhaps?
