(Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 9 Sep 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of espresso, cacao, black bread and soy sauce. Malty, roasted taste with espresso, soy sauce, dark chocolate, black bread and a vinous finish with a gentle roasty bitterness. Full body, thick and oily mouthfeel. A certain sweetness. Rich and powerful, a bit boozy and vinous. Very nice.

Fruity, malty, vinous taste with caramel, red-currant, dried fruit and oak wood. Low bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Lots of taste. A bit unbalanced, vinous and slightly tannic. Interesting. Nice one.

Fruity, vinous taste with notes of grapes, yeast, green apples, peaches and flowers. Low bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Vinous and slightly acidic. Interesting. Very nice.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 9 Sep 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with espresso, cacao and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with notes of salty liquorice, espresso, dark chocolate and a vinous finish with a mild roasty bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, boozy and tasty, but a bit unbalanced and vinous. Quite nice. (Labeled Ångkvarn/Smedsbo Salzstout 14.4% at Ångkvarn's stand, I guess it's the same beer.)

ABV: 12.5%. Clear dark dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good - fair lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark fruit, alcohol, moderate chocolate - coffee, light molasses - syrup, light soy sauce. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, roasted, dark fruit, caramel, salty, molasses - syrup, sticky. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20240121]

Sample (thanks omhper!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some nutty, salty and mild chocolaty tones with some smoked wet wooden tones. Flavour is buttery, chocolaty, nutty, salty and mild roasted tones with some alcohol sweetness. Brutal but, quite cool.
