330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty and dark malty as well as slightly roasty and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of caramel, dark caramel, malt lozenge, some treacle, toffee, hints of cocoa, tar, molasses, whiffs of burnt coffee. Taste is bitter hoppy as well as bitter, roasty, minimally ashy, dark malty, slightly chocolately, dark malty and slightly sweet, caramel malty, hints of toffee, dark caramel, a touch of burnt coffee, some tar; some herbal, hoppy bitterness throughout, the herbal aspects become more present in the finish as the malty flavours fade out on a more abrupt trajectory.
Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Quite some malty flavours around, a tad disharmonious in parts, overall rather bitter; or better: the bitter hoppy counterpart works somehow from the outside, seperated from the malt flavours as a whole, not from within, immediately conneced to every single malty aspect. A bit of the old school, somehow a bit British as well - not bad, not top-notch.

Bottle drunk watching the second disc of the third Hobbit movie in 3D. (Try saying that three times fast). Lightly hazy gold, overcarbonated fat-bubbled head that is very loud. Mild grainy nose with farmhouse hints. Flavor is pretty standard blonde that's a bit slim and dry, grain/malty with moderate clean bitterness, high carb, a little chewy farmhouse character - I'm thinking more fermentation after bottling than intended? It's ok.

330ml bottle. Murky, orange, dark golden to brown colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma with citrusy and tropical fruity aspects, wheaty malty background, hints of orange, kumquat, lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit, some yellow stone fruit. Taste is mildly bitter, zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy, hints of lemon, grapefruit, wheaty malty background without residual sweetness.
Watery texture, slightly dry, even minimally astringent palate, medium to fine, dense, prickly carbonation.
Light, watery, a tad disharmonious - not that convincing.

Blik 44cl thuis gedeeld. Whisky, boozy, suikers, grainy, maltig, bittertonen, licht hout, wat droog. Whisky is te overheersend. (11-10-2025).

330ml bottle. Cloudy, chestnut colour with dark ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly nutty, caramel malty and minimally chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of hazelnut, a touch of malt lozenge, minimally leafy, hoppy overtones. Taste is initially sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty, minimally bitter hoppy counterpart, notes of malt lozenge, increase of hop bitterness lends better balance and leads even to an almost hop dominated finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium to fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation.
Relatively simple, nicely increasing hop bitterness - not bad.

Bottle from Slijterij Benting, Coevorden. Brown malts with spicy yeast, caramel, dried fruits, candy sugar, dark malt. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Decent Quad, some nice dark malts.
