From a 355ml can on 3/5/2022. Pours a a clear light golden with a smallish head. Light nose of grain and spice. Flavour is a decent amount of lemony tang with some hints of clove and banana, with a lightly bitter finish. Light bodied with average carbonation. A bit subdued but pleasant enough.

From a 500ml can on 29/4/2022. Pours a murky light golden with a smallish head. The nose is quite sharp and citrussy. The taste features lots of tropical and citrus, with a fairly bitter spicy finish. Has a silky mouthfeel and average carbonation. Okay, but the hope combo doesn't really do it for me.

(Can) Lovely looking beer that pours opaque pale amber with big white head. Nice aroma of pineapple and pine. Excellent mouthfeel, soft, velvety, smooth with bright carbonation. Great taste with a nice balance of hoppy bitterness, fruity sweetness, citrus tartness and creaminess. Excellent beer.

(Can) Pours opaque golden with good white head - great looking beer. Lovely fruity aroma with citrus, papaya and hints of coconut and pepper. Lovely mouthfeel. Full bodied, smooth but more velvet than silk. Plenty of fine bright carbonation. Great taste too. There’s plenty of tangy fruit at the start and into the middle palate. The fruit is citrus, mango, notes of papaya. There’s hoppy bitterness through the palate, masked somewhat at first by the fruitiness but building for a pleasant finish with peppery notes. Very enjoyable.

From a 500ml can on 26/3/2022.Pours a cloudy golden with a medium head. Smells of melon and berries. Tastes sweet with lots of coconut, pineapple, orange and ripe melon, with lightly spicy, tangy finish. Has a silky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Typically good MC gear.

Can. Almost clear amber with a good cm of off white head that lasts well. Interesting caramelised grape aroma with berries, breadcrust and pine needles - recognisably Nelson Sauvin but from an unusual angle. Moderately sweet with some caramel as well as bread before grapes, grapefruit and pine slip though to the fairly bitter end. A number of recent IPAs styled as West Coast do this subtle updating of malt profile and bitterness and it works really well here. Perhaps slightly high in alcohol for what it offers but another very good beer from this Carwyn pack.

Schooner on tap at The Grainstore, Newcastle. Looks like a NEIPA, smells bergamot tea with milk! Cinnamon too? Wow! Smooth with a capital SMOOTH. Wonderful up front with 'Weis Bar' finish. Even some alcohol goodness late on. Superb.

Can. As Cult IPA at 6.2% ABV. Opaque dirty orange with a white head. Enveloping fruity aroma with soft orange, some mango passionfruit & pineapple, peach Fruit Tingles, chewed crackers. So it tastes. Usual muddied palate with lots of fruit, low bitterness and a little herbal astringency at the end. Fair enough.

(Can) Pours opaque amber with small white head. Lovely tangy aroma of pine and pineapple. Full body. Creamy with lovely bright carbonation. Lovely hoppy taste with tangy fruit and nice balancing gentle sweetness and creamy hints. Excellent.

From a 500ml can on 12/2/2022 . Pours a hazy medium golden with a biggish foamy head. Has a mild tropical milkshake nose. Tastes of sweet sharp fruits - a bit of pineapple, mango, peach and even a touch of strawberry, finishing with a modest bitterness featuring a medium tang. Lightly creamy with a pillowy mouthfeel and moderate to average carbonation. Very tasty and nicely balanced.
