Poured into a taster showing no head and translucent caramel brown with moderate filtration. The nose shows a strong biscuit malt sweetness. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of extremely subtle malts and sparse notes of bittering hops at the end. Very watery in general and a bit too light for anything.

Poured into a taster showing tea brown and a light webbing of foam on top. The nose shows a very sweet biscuit maltiness. The palate is lightly carbonated and light bodied. Very malty but only slightly sweet biscuit flavor. A nice lager-like malty bitterness at the finish. Surprisingly, an IPA made in the traditional style, this isn’t bad. I wouldn’t buy another bottle, but it’s done competently. Probably would have been better on cask.

Keg at Brewdog cj during the new Zealand tap takeover. Translucent yellow golden / straw coloured pour with a lasting g frothy white head. Aroma is citrus, pez sweets, Brett, pineapple. Juicy aroma.a. flavour is composed of juicy orange , tart citrus, zippy orange and lemon rind, pollen , crisp grains. Lingering tart citrus, pithy. Palate is semi sweet, highish carbonation, crisp, tangy. Good fruity IPA.

Tap @ derat, large sample. Almost clear golden to orange color, medium rocky head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine, citrus. Medium bitterness in taste, some cookie malt. Quite straightforward, but wonderfully balanced. Lovely stuff.

Bottle, spiked like a lizard. Aroma is very hoppy, with citrus, passion fruit and mild caramel. Taste is a fruit fest, with citrus, peach, passion fruit and a nice caramelised malty body. Great beer.

500ml bottle [celebrating the All Blacks historical triumph]. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, off-white head. Citrusy and piney, resinous, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, a touch of pineapple, some lemon peel, a touch of mint and eucalyptus, caramel malty basis with an almond touch. Taste is pungent bitter hoppy, citrusy, malty background with an almond touch, slightly washy fruitiness, lemon-orange-pineapple-grapefruit; lemongrass, mint, balm and eucalyptus interludes in the last third. Refreshing, throttled lively carbonation, lasting bitter finish. It’s a hop monster, but I try to take it untouched as Richie McCaw would do.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with small to average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Cramel malty aroma, intense but ephemeral hoppy notes in a herbal-grassy, mint and eucalyptus direction. Taste is bitter hoppy, minimally doughy, caramel malty basis, hints of mint and eucalyptus. Very clean and concise.

Pale gold. Great aroma, floral and fruity. Flavour is a bit less intense but the pale malt comes through well.

Poured into a taster showing dark amber and no head. The nose shows a slightly cooked aroma (off?!). The palate is softly carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of kiwi and malt on the attack with more sweeter malts on the attack and a linger of kiwi and light tropical fruits of pineapple. Barely any perceivable bitterness but I should probably rerate this in the future.
