Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with a dense and creamy, beige head leaving a neat lacework. Subtle roast aroma with a hint of vanilla. Not much more than a medium body, chocolatey roastiness with some faint, woody accents. There's some booze imprints that seem more infused than derived from barrel aging. I don't taste the added walnuts and liqueur. Not bad, just underwhelming. 191223

Bottled. A black beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, ginger, dates, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, ginger, chocolate, and dates, leading to a dry spicy finish. I don't know what the ginger is doing here.

Sample (as Symbiostout Jul 2021). Pitch black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is Christmas spices, some chocolate, dried fruits and mild toasted tones. Flavour is toffee, some Xmas spices, mild dried fruity tones with some sweet wooden tones and mild chocolcate as well.

0,5 l bottle from Meny, Blåvand. Dark golden in the glass, slightly cloudy, small short living white head. Caramel with some butter/diacetyl on the nose. Taste has caramel with some sweet floral elements. Grainy, little bit roasted. Below average carbonation. Okay.
