Thick-set brown-tan head, rather stable over ultra-deep dark chestnut coloured beer. Aromatic nose with chocolate, dark malts, dry grains, parsley, cypress and pine ashes. More chocolate and more ashes in the taste; sweet and dry-bitterish, balanced in a sinusoidal way: very good! Feels well-carbonated, and probably better bodied than it really is; quite slick. Excellent dark, satisfying, pleasing and - oh God, I’m using the m-word myself, definitely too long in CAMRA - more-ish. Many thanks, Denisa and Honza!

Smell very wheaty and very yeasty. Golden hazy. Fresh, reminds of Franziskaner. Fruity and sweet. Bananas.

Re-rate 2/14: Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks kerenmk. Roasty, coffee, caramel, a bit of nuts. Sweetish and slightly bitter. Nice stuff. 7/3/7/3/14=3.4

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Dror. Very dark brown to black with a beige head. Malty caramelly aroma with a bit of roasty notes. Sweetish flavor with malt, light roastiness, caramel, light nutty notes and a finish that is a tiny bit drier. Medium-bodied. Pretty nice. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2

bottle from chody. Clear golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Slightly grainy malt flavours dominate, increasing hoppiness towards the finish. Smooth palate, highly drinkable. Good desítka.

Deep-golden, clear beer with small white head. Dough, milkripe grains’ nose, even some chaff; ending on H²S-like sulphur notes. Dry, quite hoppy, with a point of sulphur (especially retronasal), that is not offf-putting anymore. Dry malts and obviously good hops. Light body, undercarbonated. Pretty decent Czech Pilsner; pity about the overdose of sulphur in the nose. Many thanks to Honza!

Smallish, dense cream-coloured head over clear red-copper beer. Very restrained nose, sweet, bit nutt, caramel. Bitterish, nutty-wry and again caramel, but thinnish. Sweetness in the background, but finish is more faint metallic-bitterish. Very spritzy feel, but empty body. Thin, rather pale rendition of a Vienna. Thanks, Honza!

Flaske 0,33l fra Alko Muonio. Fortært hjemme 28 Mai 11. Lys gylden. OK luftig skum. Maltaroma med parfymerte undertoner. Smaken “lett”. Litt metall, litt frukt. Tilløp til smørsmak.
