Tap at Ammutsøn, Vienna, Austria. Pours dark brown, almost black, with super stable and very fine light cream foam. Aroma is coffee and dark chocolate. Body is kind of thin, with no carbonation. Taste is medium roasty bitter. Final is average.

Draught @ The Porterhouse, Dublin Aroma has mild fruitiness and some resin. Flavour has bready malt, mild resin and some fruits. Lingering mellow grapefruity hoppiness and harsh malt. Faithful to the style.

Draught @ The Porterhouse Aroma is mild with some licorice and ash. Flavour has salty licorice, ash, some coffee. Lingering saltiness with milg grapefruity hop vibes. Quite rich for the ABV but too salty for my taste. With food the saltiness disappears and chocolate aromas come to front.

Out of date 440ml can, drank on 27th July 2022 at home after driving to Heathrow Airport and back. Needed a simple beer to refreshing me, this seemed like that beer. Almost clear golden body, white crown. Malty front with a decent hop content for some bitterness and balance.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 9 May 2022) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice and black bread. Roasted, malty taste with coffee, chocolate, black bread, some liquorice and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry, but with a light sweetness. No major surprises here, but a tasty and well made Irish stout. Nice one.
