345ml bottle into schooner glass. Clear shiny copper colour, frothy white head. Medium carbonation.Laces well. Nose is mildly smoky caramel malt with just a hint of fruit in the background. Full bodied with a smooth easy-drinking texture. The smoky caramel malt continues into a slightly bitter fruity finish. Nothing outrageous but well-balanced and certainly easy-drinking. Think I’ll have another.....

Taster at Beer Deluxe, Sydney. Clear golden beer with thin white head and good lacing. Sweet malt nose. Much sweeter than the original at first, nice hop finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Bright mid amber with a stark white head that lasts quite well. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, citrus flowers, pine, sticky bread crusts. Some boiled fruit. Quite full bodied for 5%, moderate carbonation. Moderate sweetness is rather plain and caramelly but solid. Fruit, pine and a fair bit of pepper combine with quite strong bitterness at the end. Clean, gutsy and bitter. Probably their best beer since the Ten20.

On tap at Treasury Casino, Brisbane. Cloudy pale green with no head but highly carbonated. Really faint fruit/vinegar nose. Highly effervescent in the mouth. Finish is umami and sherbet. Sweet fizzy fruit thing. No obvious pear flavour.

CAN 33 CL. Hazy golden, white head. Barely any aroma, just a hint of canned fruit. Dry husky corny malts, with bit of corn syrup sugars behind and a lot of carbonic acid on top. Nasty.

Bottle. Clear gold with a white head that lasts OK. Interesting plant nursery aroma - floral aromas, some citrus but also soil. Only a little sweet with cereal, some apricot and those weird hop aromatics. Moderate bitterness. Finish of mulch. What a strange beer.

345ml bottle into schooner glass. Golden amber colour with solid white head, medium carbonation. Earthy spicy hop nose. Full bodied, oily texture. Initial floral bitterness gives way to a spicy funky earthy finish that lingers. Malt is present throughout. Interesting and full of flavour though perhaps not as sessionable as the last couple of ’Hop Thief’s’.
