Bottle. Clear amber with a modest pale beige head. Aroma of passionfruit, boiled sweets, grapes, some herbal notes. A bit too fizzy for me. Some depth in the toffee flavours, there’s some herbal and grape notes and it’s a little toasty. Some tropical fruit emerges from the sweetness as moderate bitterness grips. Like the last one, probably caught this a bit late. But not bad.

345 ml bottle at Buckley’s in Sydney on October 14, 2015. BB 23/12/15.As "Orchard Crush Pear Cider".Hazy greenish color, very small white head. Pear, light tart, a bit sweet scent. Slight sweet, a tad tart, fruit skins taste. Light sweet aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, light tart finish.

Draught at The Hero of Waterloo, Sydney, on October 9, 2015.Clear copper oxide color, yellow to teal head. Malty, citurs, resin, some alcohol, bitter taste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Citrus, hoppy scent.

On tap at the Charming Squire, Brisbane on 3rd September 2015. Copper with shallow off-white foam and scant lacing. Rich malt, herby grassiness and pungent earthiness in aroma. Tangy citric hoppiness in-mouth with grassy kick and savoury touch. Grassy and herby finish. Light bodied with a crisp, refreshing texture.

On tap at Charming Squire, Brisbane on 3rd September 2015. Hazy gold with shallow off-white, lacing foam. Fresh citric and fruity hops in aroma. Hoppy liquid, rather like a Pilsner, such as Urquell. Lemony citric finish. Light bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

On tap at Charming Squire, Brisbane on 7th September 2015. Gold with off-white, lasting foam top and lacing. Fine citrus aroma. Grapefruit in-mouth with soapy touch. Citric, floral and slightly soapy finish. Zingy mouthfeel and light body. Pleasant.

On Tap at Charming Squire, Brisbane on 9th September 2015. Black with creamy off-white foam and partial lacing. Mildly roasty aroma. Citrus, roastiness and touches of smoke in-mouth. A short, roasty finish becoming fruity and slightly smoky. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body.

On tap at Charming Squire, Brisbane on 3rd September 2015. Thickly copper-red with pale tan shallow diminishing foam and full lacing. Hoppy aroma with citrus and touch of mustard seed. Astringently hoppy in-mouth with full grapefruit. Rich malt accompanies and harmonises with the hops. A late lactic touch. Satisfying grassy finish becomes increasingly bitter and lasts well. Medium-bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Schooner on tap @ Civic Hotel, Sydney. Nose is fruit salad and caramel, very inviting. Golden copper beer with small solid white head. Lots of fine bubbles. Creamy texture, crisp fruity bitterness. Finish is cleansing grapefruit. Great beer.

345ml bottle into schooner glass. Distant malt nose. Deep golden copper colour with solid white.head. Light carbonation. Watery mouthfeel, smoky malt taste. Light citric finish. Adequate thirst quencher. Like an English Bitter with ’Aussie’ carbonation.
