Keg at the brewpub. Nil aroma... some stray malts? Dark amber-brown. Thin creamy off-white head. Light bitter with a sweet edge. Gains a rich malty chocolate streak with a touch of pepper. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Prickly average carbonation. Astringent finish. Nice enough but a tad sickly. They advertise it as an Amber but for me this is a sweet Brown.

Keg at the brewpub. Low key chocolate coffee aroma. Opaque darkest brown. Thick creamy beige head. Initial light berry sweetness. Light bitterness sweeps but the sweetness remains. Underlying creaminess. Tangy berry finish. As I drink more the chocolate/micha becomes more prominent. Medium bodied. Slick. Verging on creamy. Flat carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Alright. Not particularly exciting.

Ok, stopped to get out of the rain and this is a sunny warm weather beer, but I could drink it all afternoon. Black currant and salty liquorice gose.
