650ml bottle. Orange, small white head. Nose has somewhat muddled malt and a little citrus. No skunk though - clearly fresh. Taste is of confused malt sweetness. Medium body. Hides its alcohol pretty well. Tastes like holidays to me, which means my expectations were not confounded and the beer recalls good times. This is much better than any of the other strong beers I tried in India and is perfectly tolerable.

Found in Bandipur, about 125km northwest of Kathmandu. Explosive pour, foam everywhere. Have to protect my cigars! Zero head after all that, nothing left after mopping up the overflow. Boring yellow. Absolutely no aroma; maybe some alcohol and corn, actually, but barely noticeable. Given the "strong lager" tag on this one maybe thatโs a good thing. Barely any flavour? Yes, barely any flavour. Probably lots of rice used in the mix, very smooth, no alcohol, no grains, no hops to speak of in spite of whatโs advertised. Good for getting drunk. Not for enjoying a brew.

Can, 8% ABV
Pale blond color. Light aroma, very light citrusy touch and plastic. Dry mouthfeel, very light residual sweetness, rare for a Lager. Ordinary bitterness. Poor.

Bottle. Poured pale orange gold with thin fast dissipating white head. Aroma is malt and something else, possibly an adjunct. Oily body with a bit of malt and an alcohol burn. Hot finish, with more alcohol. Oh well, itโs a beer from India

Can. A dark golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, and caramel, leading to a dry metallic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing and Madsberg for bringing it to Denmark.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Odd tart aroma, some chemicals. Medium body, sweet brewing cereals, really unclean and chemical. Crude, sulphurous finish. Really bad. 301109

Canned (thanks omhper!). Golden colour, mediumsized beigeish foamy head, Aroma is malts, some slight maize, hops and even mild earthy bitterness. Flavour is grass, some earth and mild notes of bready malts. Actually quite wellbalanced compared to what I though I would have to drink!
