Description
Early in the 21st century, a vision was born. A dream to unite the land of brews, bring harmony to all who pledged their strength… and make some damn good beer. They who had the vision started the journey and thus began the story… nay… the legend of Bombastic Brewing.

Bombastic Brewing began in 2016. Inspired by the scale of Sierra Nevada, the “gypsy” model of Mikkeller, the business model of early Sam Adams, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in the world through craft beer, Russell Mann sold his retail beer business and set out to create an interesting craft brewery, built in a different model: Partner Brewing.

He took on two co-founders, and being thwarted from Partner Brewing by Johnny Law, Bombastic pivoted and started brewing on a 30, then 50 gallon system in a garage-style facility by the airport. Bombastic would roll open the big garage doors every Saturday to welcome the brave craft beer enthusiasts who showed up and had a great time, buying out every release.

This may be my first beer from Idaho. I'm liven in my own private idaho. Pour is very pretty like pink grapefruit juice. Nice craggy head fades rapidly. Hints of a quite sweet fruit berry aroma hiding in the background. Taste lacks any sweetness, its unsweetened raspberry up front and sizzling. A little salt in there, perhaps more than I'm used too, but its hard to tell if its the unsweetened raspberry flavors or the salt. Reminds me quite a bit of unsweetened raspberry kool-aid and water, you know, before you dump the sugar into it. Quite interesting, refreshing actually. Not sure if I would say this is crush-able, but it is satisfying none the less. A little bit of processed beer feel enters the picture in the finish. Not bad, a simply interesting unique brew, fer sher.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. Hot weather alone sold me on this raspberry wheat. Pink grapefruit glowing appearance. Soft, jammy berry aroma. A pretty straight forward offering here. Raspberry wheat ale and you get your healthy dose of each with a lighter feel, amd refreshing finish. Cool berry taste sits above a wheat linger. Juicy body. Really easy drinking. A nice summer cool down brew.

Draft at Good Apple. Looks like pink grapefruit juice. Very faint raspberries in the aroma. Berries much stronger in the taste, light bready notes underneath. Light, refreshing.

Can from Tavour: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is weak licorice, chocolate, metal. Taste is boozy, umami, some chocolate, but generally sort of weak on traditional flavors.

Can from Tavour: pours bear black with a beige head. Aroma is shitty vanilla and crappy cinnamon. Smells and tastes cheep. This is shoddy and overly sweet. Body is weak.
