Pours dark brown from the bottle. A frothy, tan head lingers. Aroma is banana, smoke, and dark bread. Taste is banana sweet, yeasty, with a bit of dough, then reveals a mild tartness that picks up near the end. Body is medium, a touch oily, not hugely carbonated but still made me want to burp. Overall a hard one for me to place. Burpy for me—but still pretty good.

Bottle from Biershop Bayern. Dark amber colour, creamy foam. Malty beer, bread, light caramel. Taste is light sweet, dry, bitter, bready. Easy drinkable. Not bad.

Dose („Hergestellt und abgefüllt für Brauerei Simon“, 5,1 %, 50 cl) aus einem Supermarkt in Chengdu, China. - Kastanienbraun, trüb. - In der Nase wenig überzeugend, schwach seifig. - Antrunk weizig-dunkelmalzig süß mit überreifer Banane, Milchschokolade und pikant-fruchtiger Säurenote (Weintrauben). Perlend rezent, weich im Mund. Leichte Anklänge an Weinbrandpralinen. Im Abgang nur zarte grasige Herbe und Noten von unreifer Banane. - Trinkbares Dunkelweizen, das ich schon in etlichen chinesischen Geschäften gefunden habe, aber noch nicht in Deutschland. Meine Vermutung ist, daß es bei Kaiser gebraut wird, möglicherweise nur für den Export.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A. BBE 21.9.2017. Aroma has chocolate and coffee. Flavour has coffee, toffee, some chocolate , ashy notes and mild minerals. A weizenbock? I thought this would be a schwartz.

0.5 l bottle from ’P&M Getränke’, best before September 2017. Hazy, very dark reddish brown with a large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, moderately yeasty-spicy and a little roasty aroma of overripe banana, chocolate, clove and nuts. Sweetish, rather roasty and moderately yeasty-spicy taste of dark chocolate, overripe banana, toasted nuts and a touch of dark ripe fruits, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, moderately yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and rather effervescent mouthfeel, above average carbonation. Saturating, rather roast-accented Weizenbock, quite enjoyable. I’m glad that I got the opportunity to re-reate this, it’s definitely worth it! Could have some aging potential by the way. Score is for the new rating only.Old rating: 0.5 l bottle as a little present from my parents, best before September 2015. Very murky, dark reddish brown with a massive, creamy, stable, tan head. Some ugly flocs in the glass as well. Sourish aroma of rotten fruits, sour cherries and nuts with hints of banana. Sweetish-sourish taste of rotten fruits, sour cherries, banana, nuts and cocoa. Short, sourish finish. Medium to full body, fizzy and creamy texture, very lively carbonation. Very weird brew. I don’t believe that the sourness in this beer is intended and/or appropriate in a weizenbock. This batch maybe infected. Still quite good if you rate it hedonistically and don’t mind the style. Bottle. Brown color with creamy tan head. Aroma is slight coffee, some yeasts, bananas - more or less like ash-covered bananas. Taste is bananas, roasted malts, quite dry, mineralic. Oily mouthfeel. Interesting.
