Bottle from Lauvas Alus, Riga Last beer of my Latvian trip so senses a bit dulled by this time ! Anyway, a slight hoppiness in the nose. Pours a pale orange with lively white head with weak carbonation. Mouth is a mixture of harpness (hops, citrus fruits) and sweetness (apples, caramel). Diacetyl also around as you might expect. Sweetness dominates at the finish. Nice and drinkable, a typical Latvian gaisais.

3/8/2019. Bottle at the Wrocław Grand Prix bottle share, from Lauvas Alus, Riga. Pours clear bright dark amber with an average size creamy off-white head. Aroma of toffee, malt, dark fruit, light chocolate and toasted raisin bread. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, oily/creamy texture, average carbonation. Sweet finish, became a bit watery. Looked good, fair overall.

Rerate in checklist: On tap filled to bottle about 20 mins back... Smell- weak, caramel, some sweetness, some hops maybe. Foam- thin, soft, after shaking some bitter and bittersweet notes.Medium to small head, creamy orange, brown white not sticky. appearance- bit hazy orange amber, carbonated at bottom and inside, very few bubbles at sides. Taste- caramel, citrus, bittersweet, actually tasty, smooth and pleasant, some malt and yeast notes, maybe I am thirsty but this seems like good stuff.
