Poured from a bottle at Qvænbrygg Bar, Bryggerifestivalen in Tromsø. Deep dark brown body, dissipating off-white head, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of nuts and prunes, mid-sweet. Balanced taste profile of nutty caramel, bread, and prunes. Rounded, nicely roasted malt-driven end, mid-sweet. Drinks well. Pretty decent dark lager version.

Bottle, at Jæren Ølfestival. It’s almost clear in the glass, brown, with a finger-thick off-white head. Lacing. The aroma has a pleasant roasted maltyness, with nuts, dark chocolate, coffee hints and a berry-like note. It’s quite dry on the palate, full-bodied and smoothly carbonated. Some bitterness. Roasted malts, nutty hints, some dark chocolate and toffee in the flavor. Some berry hints, spice hints and a light touch of dark dried fruit. Lasting malt-driven finish. Quite decent this one. 220813

Bottle. A murky brown beer with a small off-white head. Roasted malts, toffee, some dried fruit an bread, and a yeasty touch in the aroma. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and a bit heavily carbonated, semi-dry. Roasted malts, toffee, bread and dark dried fruits in the flavor, along with a yeastyness I'd prefer weren't there. Medium length finish. A messy one, with the yeastyness probably doing most of the bad work. 220813
