Shared bottle at the yuletide beer tasting on board Fridtjofen 13th and 14th of December 2019. Brown. Not much head. Aroma and taste of star anise and cough medicine.

330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsdalen. Poor lacing from a fast diminishing fawn-coloured head. Opaque off-black body. Moderate smell of Yuletide spiced malt and dried fruits. Mixed taste of juniper, dark fruits, and mid-sweet malts. Hints of citrus peels to a malt-driven finish. Satisfying. (Tromsø 17.12.2019).

Sample from bottle at Fritjofens juleølsmaking. Dark brown colour. Slightly sourish aroma and flavour, spicy with notes of cinnamon?, cloves, juniper berries and anise. Will re-rate when/if I have a whole bottle.

Skibsrederen fortsetter å ta fagbevegelsen på største alvor, en 0,33 flaske under dekk i første pause: mørkerød mahogny med fint skum som varer. Julekrydder (stjerneanis, kardemomme og kanel?), lakris, milde urter og snev av furunål og overmoden citrus. Krydret ettersmak. Lettmatrosen er fornøyd.
