Bottle from Beerdome. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee and light licorice. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 170321

Bottle at home. Black with dark brown head. Bourbon and roasted malts op front, cherries, blackberries, earthy, caramel, vanilla, cognac, grapes, dark chocolate, lime zest. Solid medium weet and bitter. Over medium bodied with a bit boozy finish. Sligh thin and boozy but overall a well done and interesting beer.

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', best before December 2021, cellared for over a year. Black with a few beige bubbles sitting on top of it. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly fruity and a little smoky-medicinal aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, whisky, some peat and a touch of dark fruits. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty, slightly smoky-medicinal and a little fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, some peat, whisky and traces of dark fruits, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, gently earthy and slightly smoky-medicinal finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Another tasty variant of Zwarte Snorre, so good to try such a nice old school, roasty RIS. Could be thicker, but it's good anyway!

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of seaweed, smoke, dark chocolate, peat, iodine, roasted malt, licorice, caramel and some dried red fruit. Taste has smooth savory smoke, peat, caramel, chocolate, soft oak, seaweed, roasted malt, licorice, coffee, vanilla, dates and molasses. Not just a peat smoke bomb, but also has lots of other flavors. Rich and complex beer, great variant.

Bottle. Orange copper pour. Aroma of nice peaty scotch, strong smoke, caramel, raisin, vanilla, oak, iodine and dates. Taste has sweet peat, savory smoke, caramel, orange, burning vanilla, raisin, tarr and malt. This is heavy stuff, lot of peaty scotch, but also lot of fruity malt flavors. Nice sipper.
