Description

From one of my First Beer Swaps: deep black color and a small tan head. Roasty and malty, sweet nose and a boozy, oaky Taste. Smoky and peaty, but rather short Finish

Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, notes of Whisky, subtle peat. Taste: Peated notes, roasted malt, umami, coffee / mocha, lightly boozy Whisky, vanilla, subtle almond and spices. Over medium to full body, below average carbonation. Over moderate to medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Another very nice Zwarte Snorre edition.

Hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, spices, hops. Flavour is citrus, yeast and some spices. Some sour notes. Finishes rather dry. Overall this is an okay brew, but a bit too heavy on the citrus.

Dark brown colour with a nice beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee. Did not really notice the chili peppers. Great little Porter at a surprisingly low ABV of 4%.

Black colour with a foamy tanned head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, liqourice, and, oh yes, Brett in all its funky glory. Flavour is roasted malty sweetness with some Brett funkiness in the finish. Quite nice!

Cloudy amber/golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of grass, citrus, hops. Flavour is basically the same, citrus and hops. A bit thin-bodied, but not to the point of distraction. Rather, a very nice session IPA.

Deep brown, near black colour with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel toffee, dark chocolate, nuts, pine, hops. Flavour is much the same, roasty and with a bitter-dry finish. I quite enjoyed this Black IPA.
