Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is caramel malt with dried fruits, soft hop, notes of orange, toffee. Bittersweetish flavour, above medium body. Pleasant Barley Wine, nice balance between malt and ripe fruits.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is tobacco, whisky, roast, some liquorice, hint of vanilla, syrup, tar, sweet dark malt, touch of dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitterness and quite some alcohol. Body is above medium. Not the most gentle Snorre BA, the whisky is pretty strong. Barrel-heavy, nice to sip on.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is floral with vinous notes, oak, caramel, touch of vanilla, wine, malt, hint of funk. Flavour is sweeter than I expected with a light sourness. Body is medium with almost no carbonation. Disappointing at first, but it grew on me a bit. They got the complexity down, now about that flavour...

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is floral and a bit vinous with oak, fruity notes, wine, some funk, grape, malt. Flavour is light sour with a mild sweetness and a touch of dryness in the finish. Body is medium. Best out of the three by a small margin, this one has a little dryness.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is oaky and floral with notes of wine, soft stone fruit, malt, and light funk. Flavour is lightly sour with a mild sweetness. Body is medium. Not as complex as the Krentenbloesem but more pleasant and balanced. Doesn't have the carboproblem. That being said, I do miss a dry sourness.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, whisky, touch of liquorice, wood, hint of coffee and caramel. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a mild roasty bitterness. Not boozy at all. Body is a bit above medium, should be more full. The whisky and the roasted/chocolate malt work really well here.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is sweet dark malt, chocolate, caramel, roast, bourbon, oak, alcohol. Flavour is sweet with a boozy bourbon finish. Body is medium to full without carbonation, which Berghoeve gets away with in this case as far as I am concerned. Sweet and rich, heavy, nice to sip on.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is sweet malt with caramel, notes of oak and cognac, vanilla, toffee, some dried fruit, marzipan, a little alcohol. Medium sweet flavour, light bitter with some booze in the finish. Body is medium. Neat idea to BA an Impils, works just nicely.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is roasted malt, peat, whisky, cocoa, some chocolate and caramel, oak barrel, touch of liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness and a little booziness. Body is medium, falls a bit short. Good.

Bottle from Berghoeve. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, whisky, caramel, oak, a suggestion of fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet, light bitter. Body is above medium. Gorgeous Snorre variety, great balance!
