Description
WE ARE PIONEER BREWING CO.

It’s beer, that is built on quality & consistency.

It’s beer, with a style for everyone and every occasion – because your repaying a favour, because it’s your day off, because you’re watching the game, sharing one or two with your family during a special occasion, or because it is simply time to stop and live in the moment.

It’s beer, that is brewed in its purist format. And because we make it from the ground to the can, there’s nothing in it that shouldn’t, or doesn’t have to be there.

It’s both refreshing on a blistering summer’s day and soul comforting on a chilly winter’s evening. And whether you’re city-based or living regionally it won’t matter – it’ll go down with just as much enjoyment.

From a 375ml can on 27/9/2022. Pours a medium amber with light yeast floaties and a small to medium head. Smells of banana clove and yeast, with the taste follows suit, with some fruitiness and caramel kicking in. Easy drinking and relatively subtle but certainly presents as intended. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A nice little beer.

375ml can into schooner. Gift from my wife. Pours a hazy bronze with a large solid head of foam. Many streams of tiny bubbles ascend. nose of guava, liquorice, and pepper. Good body, smooth texture. Lots of caramel, hints of resin in the finish. Great IPA, not trying to be super complex or bitter. Just nice drinking.

375ml can into pint glass. Present from my wife. Amber beer, slight haze, lots of tiny bubbles, large head of white foam. Nice nose of tropical fruit, caramel, and hops. Nice and drinkable. Bitter, a bit light on but not bad. Finish is more bitterness with late vegetal mankiness. It's OK.

375ml can into pint glass. Very dark brown beer with a large bubbly white head which collapses quickly to thin film of bubbles. Nose is mostly cocoa with a touch of instant coffee. Light body. Sweet and fizzy, like soft drink. Finish is chocolate with a touch of bitter coffee right at the end. It's light, fizzy, and sweet with no head. It's a bit like one of those 'limited edition' colas, Coke Zero/Pepsi Max with coffee. Easy-drinking but one is enough.

375ml can into shaker. Wide mouth can (love the wide mouth can!). Nice smell of grain and malt. Brown beer with frothy white head, bit of haze. Light carbonation. Taste is sweet with a sour grainy finish. Well balanced, easy drinking Vienna lager. Right on style.
