(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm 14 Sep 2007) Golden yellow colour with no head. Fruity, slightly sour nose with notes of honey and a hint of dissolvent. Fruity, sweet taste with honey, herbs and ripe Kaiser Alexander pears. Full body and very sweet. Very nice mead.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 14 Sep 2007) Golden yellow colour, no head. Sourish nose with notes of dry sherry, oak, ripe green apples and a hint of dissolvent. Fruity, slightly sourish notes of honey, ripe apples and berries (cranberries?). Smooth and spicy with balanced sweetness. Leaning slightly in the sherry direction. Actually my first taste of some real mead, and I was impressed. There will be more of this.

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear pale golden. Distinct cummin/cinnamon aroma. More light bodied and less sweet than the Korzenny, much more drinkable. Sweet, yet quite refreshing and drinkable.

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear pale golden. Buttery aroma. Very sweet with notes of herbs, butterscotch and earth cellar. Quite sticky with full honey flavour.

Second Mead of the night at the Indra - Cider, Sake and Mead tasting 8/31/07. Pour is orange amber, completely still. Aroma is butterscotch rum. Some floral honey in the nose as well. Taste is initially more of the butter scotch, though it eases nicely into the honey and has a nice long finish. The body is syrupy and sweet, without being cloying. I had never had anything that remotely tasted like this, and loved it. This was excellent, the one I went back to for sipping until the cab came to get me. I would enjoy this like a fine port.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Deep golden. Sweet vinous and full bodied. Lots of honey of course, but also bees wax. Warming and powerful, soft and potent.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Dark brown. Aroma of honey and brown sugar. Sweet and very mature, fruity and balsamic. Honey wrapped in cotton, so soft. Something special indeed!

Rated. (Aug 2007) Apis Póltorak Jadwiga , Apis Dwójniak Staropolski and Gales Mead Wine alongside each other at home. Many thanks to RickGordon for letting me take the Apis ones home from RBESG07... Deep brown Red ... Rich sherry honey tomes and a little woody in nose ... Very rich ... very complex ... Sweet cherry and honey ... little maple syrup ... little raisin little wood ... definitly the most complex though i strugle to pin down flavours... Its such a pity i dont have Moniac mead in the house to compair that as well as ive rated it 4.5 and i suspect this has the edge. Bottle at home ... Thanks Ben .. March 2017 ... woody fruits .. rich sweet honey .. heavy fruit nose .. very sweet .. wooody mead.. rich thick viscous .. very fruity .. heavy fruits .. quite datey ... .. rich sweet fruits

Bottle pours out a clear orange/amber no head. Sweet aroma of honey??? O ya of course so tasty. Nice thick legs some Alcohol burn on this one. Pretty good but not as good as the other mead Spółdzielnia Pszczelarska Apis makes.
