kp’s Fest of 26. Clear, ruby- tinged amber. Still. Easily send thick legs down the glass. Vanilla, oak and alcohol play heavily on the nose. Smooth and sweet with a cinnamon tough in the flavor. Another nice one from Spóldzielnia Pszczelarska Apis.

(Bottle) Beautiful warm, reddish amber with no head whatsoever. Sweet, alcoholic nose of caramel and alcohol. Extremely full-bodied and extremely complex flavour pattern with loads of honey and fruit acents. But this is EXTREMELY sweet - actually I don’t believe I’ve ever had anything this sweet in my life. I love its complexity but am having trouble with its sugary sweetness. 260806

Bottle pours a clear golden yellow with no head or lacing. Amazing sweet and fumey honey and lightly flowery aroma. Flavor is extremely sweet but the rich honey and slight floral and raspberries are just the right combination. Obvious high ABV but the over the top sweet flavor makes you not care. Extremely soft and smooth with a slight sediment or waxy palate at the end. I will never have a mead like this again Im sure. Thanks a ton Buck Dich

750 ml Bottle. Got this at a Polish market in Schaumburg, IL. The label is green and black, and design is different, but the description on the back closely matches. So I can finally check off a commercial mead here. Pour is a nice honey gold, even close to a whiskey. Definitely a sweet honey color. And I kinda find the taste to my liking. The chokecherry juice gives a slightly bitter component to slightly match the honey sweetness. And any spices here are not overbearing. No sulfide or other processing traces. In fact, since I brought up the idea, it makes a real good whiskey mixer!

Bottle @ yespr tasting. No head. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich honey, raspberries, caramel notes, warming alcohol. Nice and vinous. Lovely. Original rating 11/8/2005 back when I disliked mead: 4/3/7/4/15 Smell of sherry, taste exactly like sherry, but too sweet. If you like mead I guess it’s okay...
