Can thanks to Ed. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet hops, very fruity and some light floral aspects. The flavor is a big Pale or a medium IIPA; light bitterness, more sweet fruity hops, caramel, dry, malt balance. Nice. Listed as 7.2%.

It pours a deep amber colour with a 2 finger head of foam and brings some nice lacing.

I smell a pretty nice balance of sweet malt and piney/citrus hops.

The taste starts off with some nice hoppy bitterness, mostly pine with a bit of citrus grapefruit, then becomes decidedly malty with a dashing taste of caramel. From there, the beer goes back to hoppy and finishes on the bitter side. This is pretty yummy.

The carbonation is on the low side, again for a canned Wind River beer, so I’m a bit puzzled at how great a head of foam it forms and keeps when poured. Anywho, the mouthfeel is on the high side of light bodied and I find this tasty and very easy to drink. I see the can says this is 7.2%abv which differs from the draught version of 8.35%. Good move in lowering the abv, me thinks.

Overall, a tasty and solid if still a bit strong for the style. I recommend you try it if you see it.

Courtesy of douglas88. The can pours gold with weak white head. Not an impressive start. The aroma has some sweet malts, corn syrup and floral hops. None of these notes pull you into taking a swig. I force myself to swig anyway. The taste is a bit slick with sweetness and quickly becomes oversweet with sweet malts, honey like sweetness and then … well um table sugar. There are also notes of esteriness in the form of ripe green apples rounded out by mild notes of floral hops. Stays too sweet for me.
