On tap at the source as "Winter Ale". Very dark brown with a tan head. Lots of caramel in the aroma, toffee, nuts. A veritable malt bomb. Sweet with a mild bitterness at the finish. Thick. Rich. Alcoholic. Done very much in the style of a bock. Good.

On tap at the source. Virtually black with a tan head. Aroma is lightly mild chocolate with hints of berry, or, more unkindly, nail polish. Taste is lightly bitter, sour, before delving into an increasing sweetness leading into the finish. Dry. Full bodied. Good.

Pours very dark brown with a tan, creamy head. Aroma is toast, coffee, berry. Taste is bittersweet, trending sweet at the finish, with notes of banana, nuts and dark chocolate. Thick with a relatively full body. Good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours yellow gold with a foamy white head. Typical banana and spice aroma. Taste is sweet, a touch sour at the finish. Body is medium. A decent example of the style, but not a lot of depth.

On tap at the source. Pours amber with a thin, creamy head. Aroma is lemon, melon, bubblegum. Taste has bubblegum sweetness with a lemon tang. Sounds interesting but did not work for me. Body is medium, finishes dry. Okay.
