Bottled, thanks jeverszeuege! Cloudy very dark brown, small beige head. Roasty and earthy nose. Dry and very hoppy. Piney and lightly perfumy. Light to medium bodied with heavily roasted malt flavours such as licorice and tar. Long resiny bitter finish. The powerful bitterness makes it a bit rough, but it is flavourful and quite original.

Bottled,thanks jeverszeuge! Cloudy pale orange, fair sized rather lively head. Aroma is dominated by buttery malt, butgrassy hops and orange comes in between. Medium bodied with restrained sweetness. Grainy, buttery malt dominates. Short finish with light salt. Well balanced.

Das Stout ist, wie Der Doppelbock schon sagt, gewöhnungsbedürftig. Es startet leicht herb mit röstmalzigem Unterton, der kurz darauf ein extrem starkes Aroma entfaltet, erst nachher wird das Bier angenehm würzig und die Röstmalzigkeit geht auf ein Normalmaß zurück. Malziger, dennoch säuerlicher und teils wässriger Antrunk. Darunter lässt sich weder hopfige noch herbe Nuancen finden. Auch wirkt das Bier etwas abgestanden, was durch den sauren Ton, der nicht weichen will, gestärkt wird. Ein entäuschendes Bier. Danke an Jevers Zeuge für das Bier. Mild süßlich-malziger Antrunk, sehr spritzig. Wie beim Pils folgt anschließend ein (kleiner) Hopfenschub, der allerdings nicht so kräftig ausfällt. Darunter lässt sich weiterhin in angenehmen Maße das Malz finden, das zum Ende hin deutlich würziger wird. Von vorne bis hinten: Gelungen! Danke an Jevers Zeuge für das Bier. Interessanter süßlich-würziger, leicht getreidiger Geruch. Würziger Antrunk, dennoch für einen Bock mild. Der Mittelteil ist hopfiger, sie süßlich geprägte Würze vermag dabei aber nicht zu weichen. Im Nachgeschmack ist dies ebenfalls noch vorhanden, die Würze steigrt sich gar, die Süße zum Glück nicht. Interessanter Bock. Danke an Jevers Zeugen und den Doppelbock für das Bier. (swing top bottle, thanks to Jevers Zeuge!) Hazy, golden colour with a thick, slightly yellow foamy head. Slightly dusty, sweet grainy aroma with notes of cereals, a distinctive touch of honey and a tinge of herbal hops in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, medium body, smooth carbonation. Aromatic, honey-ish malt-character, very grainy, medium-dry, sweet-bitter finish with a herbal hoppy touch and a well-bound alcohol. Solid, not too sweet Maibock.

(swing top bottle, with thanks to Jevers Zeuge!) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a foamy, slowly lacing white head of medium size. Moderately yeasty and smoke-malty aroma, which reminds me of smoked fish in a positive way with a touch of citrus and distinctive grainy notes coming through. Light sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a well-carbonated, smooth mouthfeel. Grainy and smoke-malty taste; the delicate smokiness lingers into the grainy and slightly bitter finish. Well-matured (for brewpub standards), easy going smoked beer.

Getreidiger, sehr hopfiger Geruch. Getreidig-süßer Antrunk mit malziger, aber nicht ausgeprägten Note. Im Mittelteil folgt eine geballte Ladung Hopfen, der süßlich angehaucht ist. Lange Zeit klingt er aus, dabei kommt im Nachgeschmack nochmal ein kräftig würziges und herbes Aroma hinzu Nach einiger Zeit setzen auch leicht fruchtige Aroman ein. Sehr gelungen! Bügelverschlußflasche: Black coloured, mid-sized brownish head, slowly diminishing with a good lace; cacao and roast-malt in the nose, almost vinous fruitiness in the wings, not to forget the big touch of molasses; dry, moderate bitter flavour, light to medium-bodied; lingering dry bitter finish with notes of cacao, roast malt and a bit of smoked malt. well made Stout, not too far from the originals........
