Bottle from Aldi, Inverurie. It pours deep ruby brown with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, fruit cake, supermarket, cola, dull smoke and candy. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, toasty, smoked, tannin, black tea, bonfire, cola, peppery spice, wood, leather and dried fruits with a chewy finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Lacks a bit of depth and body, but it's not bad.

Bottle from Cork and Cask. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is quite soft, sweet fruitiness, fragrant, cardamom, oily orange, cereal and bread. The taste is dry, light bitterness, fragrant, floral, orange peel, leafy, cereal, grassy, coriander seed, cardamom, graininess, aniseed with a drying and spiced finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Quite a lot of spice gaining on, but I am not sure it all comes together that well. Fun to try, but not the sort of beer I would return to in a hurry.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. It pours clear golden - amber with a decent foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bready malts, cereal, cracker and touch of melon. The taste is dry, decent hit of bitterness, grassy, toasty grain, straw, bit floral, lemon peel, pithy, minerals and some spice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Comes acrosa a bit grainy on the taste. Fine enough lagerbier, but there are better out there.

Bottle thanks to Paula. Appearance - golden amber, lightly hazy. Thin but decent head. Nose - big on malt. Biscuit and light spice. Taste - spiced biscuit. Light astringent malt. A hint of burnt bread. Palate - light bodied and crunchy through the middle and end. Overall - probably should've been loaded on RB as a Vienna or Helles or Premium lager.
