Description
It started on Plaza Drive in New Albany, Indiana, with Sportstime Pizza in 1987 (now the NABC Pizzeria), followed by Rich O’s (NABC Public House) in 1990, the incorporation of the New Albanian Brewing Company in 1994 and the launch of the original New Albanian Brewery in 2002 (the first commercial brewery in New Albany since 1935). The Pizzeria & Public House are still going strong.
In New Albania, beer is a way of life. NABC stands for a quarter-century of experience, education, recognition and success. Not only that, but our machines kill fascists, too.
Now more than ever before, we ask: Can your beer do that?

Nice price on this 22 oz. bottle, $8.45 at Leary’s Fine Wine. Hazy orange color with a thin ring of head around the snifter. Aroma is oranges, dusty wheat and spice.
The flavor is mirror image of the aroma with the lemongrass being a main player. Light lingering herbal spices. Hard to get agave but the balance of spice and wheat is nice. Medium body with a low bitterness. Good not great, worth a try if you want something a tad different in this broad style.

I was in the mood for hops today, Learys Fine Wine in Newburyport, MA has me covered! Good price on this 22 oz. bottle. Dirty orange/ blonde color with fizzy, slow dying head. Aroma shows yeast, grain and very mild floral hops. So this wasn’t as hoppy as I was hoping for but still decent.
The flavor is more along the line of a Belgian blonde/ single that is an IPA. Pale malts and grain as the base with yeast character in the center. The hops are mild in the form of grass. Not fair to try this after multiple IPA’ and DIPA’s. Guess it’s the style guidelines getting blurry. I still enjoyed it.

22 oz. bottle purchased at Learys Fine Wine for $8.95. Dirty orange color with lasting head. Aroma is fruit and floral and mild grassy hops. Tempting.
The flavor is sweeter then I was hoping with more of an English feel to it. Candied orange and peach upfront with grain and caramel in the center. Also has a light earth note with the grassy and floral notes. The body is medium with a lightly dry texture. I drank the 22 oz. myself and it actually really grew on my as I sipped. The ABV was hidden until I stood up. A nice surprise.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Citrus and mild funk aromas. Dry with caramel and bread upfront turning to mildly sour earth and resin in the medium length finish.

Nonic pint draft at the Irish Rover in Louisville, Kentucky. The pour is a hazed golden yellow with a well formed one inch white head. The aroma is malt grain, fresh and a bit husky. The taste is the cracker grain malt, along with a dry grass floral in the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, active fine carbonation and a dry grass bitter finish. Simple, clean and tasty.

Draft (growler). Banana, orange, clove and wheat malt aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with large fluffy white head and moderate effervescence. Mildly sweet banana/orange, fairly strong clove and wheat malt flavor. Great balance - not too sweet, fruity or spicy. Very solid. Oh, what I’ve prayed for - a solid local Hefeweizen. Hopefully will be a regular seasonal. / Re-rate 7-1-16. Draft. Subsequent batches much more subdued in both aroma and flavor. Still a decent beer but not nearly as good as the initial batch. / Re-rate 8-4-18 in Bottle. Much stronger clove aroma and flavor - almost overwhelming/medicinal when very cold (40 deg F) but smooths out considerably at cellar temperature.
