Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours light gold with no head. Aroma is very cinnamon. Near full bodied. Flavor is so, so cinnamon. Vanilla is second fiddle. Finishes just a little sweet. Well, a bit more than just a little sweet.

This Braggot was produced once and was exclusive to the AHA conference in Grand Rapids last month. Its a blend of orange blossom mead mixed with Imperial Stout and Flanders Red ale. Thanks to Michael for sharing a growler of this tonight! Pours a solid black color with a minimal head that doesn’t last very long. Huge citrusy orange blossom aromas mixed with huge roasty chocolaty caramel from the big stout and offset with the cherry pie tartness of the Flanders. Huge sweet citrusy honey flavor mixed with chocolate covered cherries offset with a slight lactic tartness that counters well and adds complexity. Thick sweet body with minimal carbonation. Fantastic mead, hugely complex. A sipper for sure but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Bottle. Pours with a clear golden hued body with copious legs. Aromas are floral, honey comb, white pepper, buttery oak, maple, vanillin, apple skins. Alcohol. Very very sweet, buttery maple soaked corn bread. Some apple. Not enough tannin or acid to balance. Delicious but cloying.

375 ml bottle poured into a Goose Island tulip. Pours a clear straw yellow color with no head, just a little off-white bubbles. Aromas of . Tasting notes of cinnamon, apples, vanilla, honey, pretty rich and sweet with hardly any booze. Medium-light body with a warm and dry finish. Medium carbonation, light syrupy mouthfeel. Really does taste like an apple pie a la mode,

Bottle - Nice honey and berries. Clear maroon with no head. Overripe berries, sweet with some nice tartness. Not cloying and fairly clean finish for a mead. Very well done.
