Draught. Black opaque colour, small brown head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malts, bready and chocolateish. Flavour is very smooth coffee and milk along with roasted malts, alcohol and caramel. Wellbalanced and totally kickass! One of my definitive favourites at the SBWF 2006.

Draught. Very hazy brown colour, small head. Aroma of fruit and yeast along with some malts. Flavour is yeasty, alcoholic and fruity. Alcohol is well hidden, but is part of a long and warming "aftertaste".

(Craught, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep) Dark brown colour, almost mahogany, small off-white head. Malty, sweet nose with dried fruit (raisins, prunes) and burnt sugar. Malty, sweet, taste with burnt caramel, syrup, dark fruit and spices. Full-bodied and full-flavoured, tasty but a bit too sweet.

(Draught, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep) Pitch black colour with a firm, brown head. Roasted nose with full chocolate and coffee aromas, notes of smoke and tar. Roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, tobacco and tar. Citrussy, hoppy bitterness in the finish, along with even more chocolate. Full body, with creamy, velvety texture. Perfectly balanced and warming. I’m impressed, this is absolutely excellent. (8/5/8/5/16=4.2) Rerate: (Bottle, 31 May 2015) Black colour with lasting, dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with black rye bread, black coffee, dark chocolate and some dark fruit. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black rye bread, dark chocolate, coffee. liquorice, tobacco and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, mainly dry. Solid an well made imperial stout in excellent balance.

[Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival] Black, rich beige head. Strong chocolate aroma. Very soft and with light bodied for an imperial stout. The restrained sweetenss along with the slim body and soft mouthfeel leaves plenty of room for the chocolatey flavours. Like a bigger milk stout. Light notes of licorice and grassy hops show up towards the finish. The best new Swedish beer I sampled at the festival.

[Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival] Muddy brown, no head. Aroma of almond and caramel. Sweet and full bodied. Very yeasty with cottony soft mouthfeel. Some citrus and spicy hops, but dominated by massive malt and very evident yeast character. Still young, but very good.
