(On tap) A black and opaque beer with a warm, reddish glow and a small, beige head. Aroma of burned malt - and whisky. Fairly light body with distinct notes of peat and roasted malt. Also smoked malt rather than burned. Extremely distinct whisky notes. Slightly thin finish without much bitterness. 240806

Rerate, 330 ml bottle, at Olympen, Oslo. ABV 4.3%. Very dark brown to ruby colour, nearly black. Moderate creamy beige head. Moderate aroma, mild roasty coffee notes, hints of wood and ashes. Light bodied, fairly dry flavour, notes of thin coffee. Okay, but not remarkable. Original rating: On tap at The Rover, Göteborg. Black colour, creamy tan head. This oatmeal stout has a moderate but pleasant roasty aroma, notes of dark chocolate. The flavour is slightly sourish with very subdued coffee and chocolate notes.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Malty, sweetish nose with caramel and a slight hint of smoke. Full bodied and malty taste with cereal and dried fuit, slightly burnt. Well balanced with spicy undertones. Agree with omhper, flawless and very good but not much soul.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear dark ruby, firm head, Aroma of caramel and hay. Sweet and roasty. Solidly malty with clean rounded mouthfeel and notes of chocolate. Chewy with near full body with warming qualities. Finishes with some herbal spice and medium bitterness. Another flawless beer from Hantverksbryggeriet. Their beer are so perfect however that they seem to lack real soul.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Feb 17) Colour is very dark brown to black, with a frothy light brown head. Nose is smoky (burning wood) with roasted notes of dark chocolate and tar. Taste is smoky, with lots of chocolate and coffee. Drier towards the finish. Very tasty and enjoyable if you like the smokiness.

[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] An unclear brown beer with a lazing light brown head. The aroma is sweet hoppy combined with notes over over ripe fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, and over ripe fruit, as well as light notes of wood.
