Description
Initially opened as the Ship & Mitre Brewery in 2016. In 2017 they renamed to Flagship Beer. Run by head brewer, Tom Anderson, the beers produced always have thought and care put into them even before they are brewed.
We brew small batches, just 620 litres a time, to ensure the beer is freshest. Larger batches are brewed at Stamps Brewery in Bootle.

Third, keg at Ship & Mitre. Shared with Finn. One-finger thick, beige head, a deep ruby shade to a dark coloured body. Clingy lacing. Moderate dark malty nose, roasted. Spiced dark malty flavours followed by a spiced roasted ending. Satisfying. (Liverpool 27.01.2020).

Third, keg at Ship & Mitre. Shared with Finn. Rich lacing from a low beige head. Near black in the glass. Moderate smell of dark plums and almond. Quite sweet taste profile of dark plums and stewed berries. Sweet dried fruity end. Some sipper qualities, rather heavy to drink though. (Liverpool 27.01.2020).

Third, cask at Ship & Mitre. Shared with Finn. Coal black in the glass. Decent fawn-coloured head, spotty lacing. Inviting roasted malty nose, dry. Nutty chocolate flavours, hints of roasted bitterness to the finish. Pleasant stuff. (Liverpool 27.01.2020).
